A corpus of faces from Caribbean, West African and Indigenous communities, built with open-hardware scanning equipment. The library opens up part of the archiving work carried out with the association, under a governance protocol devoted to consent and to how the material may be used.

The association connects, documents and passes on. Everyone brings what they know how to do — and the whole holds together because no one claims to do it all alone.
An association is first of all the people who make it. Artists, dancers, musicians, researchers, technicians, memory keepers, volunteers.
And the audiences who receive it: young people, elders, people with limited access, and those who live here.
Independent organisations, each bringing its own knowledge and craft: the stage, choreography, digitisation, production, distribution, transmission, and the structuring of the sector.
Founded in 2018, ANISOTROPIE is a non-profit association exploring the links between culture, heritage and digital technology. We work to preserve and reimagine tangible and intangible heritage by creating artistic, immersive experiences open to as many people as possible.
Through a fair and collaborative approach to digital tools, we aim to make heritage more accessible, to stir the collective imagination, and to reinvent the way we tell our stories — the better to understand our present and to envisage a shared future.
He is the artistic director of ANISOTROPIE, runs Studio K-AREA in Le Vauclin and leads several initiatives in his own name, with regional and international partners.
His practice runs through sculpture, photography, photogrammetry, motion capture and immersive media. It puts digital tools at the service of the memory of gestures — those that are passed on, and those that are disappearing.

Every donation goes directly towards recording, archiving and passing on Caribbean heritage — capture equipment, artist residencies, transmission workshops. ANISOTROPIE is a French non-profit association: your donation may entitle you to a tax deduction.
We work with a range of partners to enrich our projects and further the preservation of heritage. Together we build digital archives and training, and organise events that connect heritage with new audiences.
